The AS ONE Corporation shall hold onto the personal information of customers, business partners, board members and employees to run the wholesale distribution of research instruments and equipment, nursing and care products as well as other scientific instruments. Protecting this personal information appropriately shall be our social responsibility. In order to achieve this, we shall comply with a management system that protects personal information, we shall handle all personal information properly and in good faith and we shall carry out corporate activities with a high level of transparency.

  1. We shall appropriately obtain, use and provide the personal information of customers, business partners, board members and employees taking into consideration our business as a wholesale distributer of research instruments and equipment, nursing and care products as well as other scientific instruments.
  2. We shall not handle personal information outside of the scope required to achieve the purpose of use that is specified. In addition, we shall take measures to ensure this.
  3. We shall comply with all laws and other rules related to handling personal information appropriately.
  4. We shall clarify regulation related to handling personal information and ensure all employees are informed accordingly. In addition, we shall also request that all outsourcing contractors who are contracted for work to handle all personal information appropriately.
  5. We shall process complaints and inquiries related to personal information in good faith.
  6. We shall take preventive and corrective measures that are required to avoid any problems with the personal information we hold, such as being leaked, lost or damaged.
  7. We shall continue to make the necessary improvements to the management system that protects the personal information in order to ensure that the personal information continues to be handled appropriately.

Handling personal information

1. Purpose of use for personal information that may be disclosed

We shall use the personal information of customers, our board members and employees, job applicants and retired employees (hereafter referred to as "customers") within the scope required to achieve the purpose of use described below.

2. Providing personal information to a third party

We shall not disclose or provide the personal information of the customer or other persons to a third party except when one of the following conditions applies.

  1. When consent has been given by the concerned party such as the customer
  2. When providing with the appropriate supervision, such as concluding a non-disclosure agreement related to personal information
  3. When providing to a manufacturer or forwarding company for requests to send products, samples or catalogs
  4. When disclosing or providing in which the concerned party cannot be identified such as in statistical data
  5. When disclosing or providing personal information is required by law

3. Commission to handle personal information

We may commission an outside company to handle the customer's personal information within the scope required to achieve the purpose of use. The party that is commissioned shall be appropriately supervised such as by concluding a non-disclosure agreement for the personal information.

4. Processes concerning the disclosure of personal information

In accordance with the standard established in JIS Q 15001 for the disclosure of personal information, when asked by the concerned party to report the purpose of use, disclose, amend, add or delete any content, stop use, completely erase or stop providing to a third party (hereafter referred to as "disclose, etc."), we ask that you follow the procedure below to make the request.

  1. Contact our "Personal Information Help Desk in the General Affairs Department" (Phone: 06-6447-1253), then after your request is processed, fill out the required items in the designated Personal Information Disclosure, etc., Request Form which will be sent to you. Please send the form back with a copy of an ID or other verification document (such as a driver's license, health insurance card or Basic Resident Registration Card), addressed to "Personal Information Help Desk in the General Affairs Department."
  2. The Reply Form in response to the disclosure, etc., request shall be sent via postal mail to the requesting party (using ID confirmation delivery service). When making a request to amend data or stop use of personal information, we shall include other required documents with the Reply Form in the envelope.
  3. Please note that a separate fee is required to process the disclosure, etc.
